LAHORE:
Police arrested 26 protesters, including senior leaders of the Grand Health Alliance and Young Doctors Association (YDA), after clashes erupted during a demonstration on Mall Road on Tuesday.
According to an FIR registered at Civil Lines Police Station, the protesters — including YDA President Dr Shoaib Niazi and seven other leaders — allegedly attacked police personnel with knives, scissors, and batons while damaging public property and tearing police uniforms.
The confrontation began when demonstrators marching from Faisal Chowk towards Club Chowk prompted police intervention.
